Advent Episcopal School recently received the Alabama Independent School Association President’s Award for the SECOND year in a row for the top K-Grade 8 School. Woo hoo Panthers!
This prestigious award is based upon a point system that rewards academic excellence as well as co-curricular programs. Advent has also won for two straight years the State Middle School Math competition and the AISA “Blue Ribbon Award” recognition. AISA’s Michael McClendon says “It is apparent from my visits to Advent that (the) faculty and staff work diligently to provide their students with the most positive learning experience possible. I am excited about the direction of Advent Episcopal School and the role it plays as a model of excellence in our state and beyond.”
This year, Advent was recognized by Steve Marshall, Alabama’s Attorney General, for receiving the “Safe School Initiative” award. In addition, Advent students received first place State recognition in Spelling Bees, Art, Haiku competitions, Creative Writing, and Reading contests. Yea Advent!! It was a wonderful year. We are excited to see what the 2017-2018 school year holds for us!
