The End of our Adventures – Never!

A trip through Paris for Advent 3rd Graders has been quite an adventure, as your children have explored such places as Palais de Versailles (Let them eat cake!),  Notre Dame,  Sacre Coeur,  La Tour Eiffel,  Le Louvre,  Pont des Arts, Arc de Triomphe and Centre Pompidou – all we need now is a plane ticket!
2nd Grade continues to improve their French speaking skills, as they embark on their French Pet Project – from hedgehogs, pigs, fish, spiders, unicorns, dogs and cats – these students have drawn lovely portraits of the favorite animals and described them beautifully – all in French, bien sur!
After completing our exploration of wild animals in 1st Grade, these students have been busy dancing on the bridge of Avignon – Sur Le Pont D’Avignon  – we have been dancing round and round in French class like ladies (les Mesdames) and gentlemen (les Messieurs)!
Kindergarten continued their adventures with Farm animals –  We’ve been swimming around the classroom with our Grand Canard (Big Duck) and les Petits Canards (baby ducks),  swinging and spinning with our favorite spider named Violette who lives in our Grange Rouge (Red Barn), and of course, jumping all over the place with our infamous Grenouille Verte (Green Frog)!
Pre-K has been busy getting all of their Zoo Animals in their cages to bring home for the summer – I can’t wait for them to tell you all their names – in French, bien sur!  We’ll sign off the year with a fabulous Zoo Party – when we will dance with our favorite Zoo Animals, and sing our favorite French songs!
