In 3rd grade STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), Advent students have been learning about the different areas of Climate and Weather.
They have completed experiments on the water cycle, the differences color can have on temperature, the ways substances can be affected by the sun’s rays, and how changes in location can affect wind speed.
Students have also learned about the basic types of clouds, basic steps in the water cycle, how to use the Beaufort scale (any ideas? Look Here! ), how to use an anemometer (instrument that measures wind speed and wind pressure), different types of weather tools, what meteorologists and weather forecasters are, and much more. What fun we are having!
