Today is the day- give with your heart! Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities.  Last year, more than 45,000 organizations in 71 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday.

What does giving mean to you? Giving is a personal thing for each individual.  For me, it means sharing my time, talent and resources with others.  For you, it may be something concrete such as participating in your community play or maybe running a 5K or donating to a favorite nonprofit. Take a moment to consider what giving means to you.  While you are doing this, please think about Advent.

Advent Gives means Advent Strong! This demonstrates a strong community of families, faculty, friends and school. Your giving is important to Advent.

We invite you to join the movement and give to Advent this November 29.  You can go to

Have a blessed day!
